Sasha & the Bear

Sasha & The Bear is the indietronica duo of close friends Sasha Daniel and Dov Igel, both singers, songwriters, and producers. They formed in Brooklyn in 2016, and their early tracks quickly landed on Spotify playlists before they put the project on hold. They reunited after the loss of Dov’s mother in 2021, writing in Scandinavia with minimal equipment and drawing on nature, grief, and their friendship. Three EPs followed, recorded across Spain, the Netherlands, and Romania: Wake Me Up (2023), 7.5 Years (2024), and Close Enough (2025), which features a sultry take on Jennifer Paige’s 1998 hit “Crush.” Most recently, they released their first full-length album, Held in Passing, which earned Apple Music editorial attention with “Trying To” and “Serial Pleaser” placed in the popular “Today at Apple” playlist.
